Hello everyone!  My name is Jessica, I am 24 years old, and live in Rockford, Illinois.  Currently I am employed at FatWallet, Inc., which is going very well. I'm married to Mathew, whom I am very much in love with.  He's a part-owner of a retail store, Classic Toys & Games (which specializes in older video games/systems and toys).

My hobbies include computer gaming (currently Everquest 2), reading, website/graphic design, and, of course, Trixie.

I first began reading Trixie books when I was about 12 (rough estimate!).  I loved them from the first one I read, and couldn't get enough.  Sadly I lived in a small town, and they weren't readily available.  Over time I collected a dozen of them for myself.  The library had a few others, and I was very happy that I could read more than just the ones I owned.  As the years went on and I got involved in high school marching band (and eventually college), my reading time was heavily reduced.  I didn't have as much time to enjoy it as I had before.  So my beloved Trixie books got boxed up and put away.

While searching around on eBay one day, I stumbled across Trixie books.  The old obsession/adoration of them came back to me in a rush.  I started looking around on the web, and came upon the site for Trixie Camp 2004.  I thought to myself, "No way!!!"  That page led me to Zap's and eventually to Zap's message board The Clubhouse.  I was so amazed about how many Trixie fans were out there.  I also was introduced to fanfic, even though at the time I wasn't positive what it was, I just remember hearing the term a lot.

While visiting the MB at Zap's I would occasionally hear references such as "...is posted at Jix" or "over at Jix's..."  Curiosity got the best of me and I wanted to know what Jix was.  Well guess what, it was another Trixie community!  It was at Jixemitri that I read my first fanfic (I believe it was Diann's Taking Chances universe) and fell in love with the whole concept.  Here were all these people continuing the lives of Trixie and all her friends, how much more fantastic could it get!?  Apparently, it still got better.  Because then I discovered the Jix Message Boards.  Jix is my home away from home, and I've made so many friends there.  In good times and bad, they're always there for you.

So, now is about the time that an idea started forming in my head.  I love to write (even though I haven't written anything for a long time).  I love Trixie.  I love graphic/website design.  No way..  could I dare to think?....  Yes I can!  I can make my own Trixie website and write my own fanfic!  Well, here's the website.  But the fanfic is still a work in progress.  *g*

I hope you'll come back to visit.  I also welcome any comments/suggestions/criticism about my work so feel free to E-mail me!  I'd also like to send out a HUGE Thank You to Dana, webmistress of SSI, for allowing me to host GRI at SSI!

Have a perfectly perfect day,
Jessica
